So. What did i do yesterday after my line-being-barred thingy?

Nothing.

I didn’t have time to go to the Maxis Centre so i was left “line-less” for the rest of the day, till now. My colleagues surprised me with 2 birthday cakes though. *Yummy..!* I initially thought no one remembered..but they did. I was given a birthday card also, which i personally requested for. *I love cards..!* So, yea..it was not so bad afterall..especially when i got to know that two ‘macho’ guys were the one who bought the card, since all the girls were busy. LoLzz…!

P/S: No, i did not party till the wee hours of the morning. I was asleep at home by 10pm. =)

WheN i’m 24…. 23 May, 2007

Well, i’m officially 24 today. Guess what happened? My Maxis line decided to go dead on me. Apparently, i’ve used more than RM100 on my calls and what not and they’ve decided to barred my line. That is definitely not possible because i just changed to the postpaid line a couple of weeks ago and there is no way that i can make calls as much as that. I think i’ll have to talk on the phone for 24/7 to get that amount in 2 weeks. Argghh…! stupid Maxis..!

Solution to my problem? Pay at least partial of that ridiculous amount or wait till my next bill comes, which is on 13th June. So, in other words…my line will be barred till then.

Happy Birthday Spiffy!

I’m thinking of getting some time out from blogging. Ever since i came back from my KK trip, my workload has miraculously pile up. Sighh…but i guess i can’t fully blame my work for the cause of me not blogging. I just don’t have the ‘mood’ or ideas on what to write since i came back.
I can’t imagine that i haven’t been reading the papers for ermm..ever since i came back .. *horrors!* I always read the papers on a daily basis, if not the main section at least Star Two. Now even that also i don’t touch. Sighh.. The only thing i do daily now is to read before i sleep and currently it’s Tunku Halim’s 44 Cemetery Road. Horror book at night?! You ask..? Hahah…i can still take it although sometimes it’ll keep me awake for sometime. Heheh…;o)

You can say that i’m getting a ‘writer’s block’ although i’m no writer. Haha..I honestly can’t think of anything to write. Time for a break..! Hehe…

If anyone has even noticed, i haven’t been leaving comments on many people’s blog. Be rest assured that i do read your blogs, i just can’t think of what to comment. So to those that i visit on a frequent basis, Zewt, Lydia, Argus, TH, Xeus, Kenny, Chet, i’ll be back to my own self soon…i hope. =D I will write, but not that often.

Till my next post….

Woke up quite early today..went out for breakfast then followed parents to Tesco for some ‘marketing’. After that hopped on over to Jusco and finally settled at Starbucks. So now, am at Starbucks..people watching, blogging, chatting all at the same time. Heheh..

Oh, oh…for those who know the chinese entertainment scene, Z Chen(a very famous singer) is sitting right at the table next to me. My friend asked me, “didn’t take his signature ah?” No la, my dear….takkan ask him to sign on the serviette. Heheh…;o)

Am also going for a wedding dinner later in the evening. Don’t even know what to wear…probly just grab whatever i can come up with..furthermore, it’s not me who’s getting married. Hahah.. and it’s only held at a chinese restaurant, not a hotel. *no, i don’t mean to be mean..*

Okayy…so i’m out for now…Cheerios!

Just to share the pics i’ve taken from the headhunter village.. especially, the skulls…Scaryy..!

This is the headhunter village that we went to.. It’s called Monsopiad Cultural Village.

I forgot the name of this fruit/plant but according to our guide, once this fruit touches our skin.. It will itch like crazy..right to the bones. She used to use this fruit as bullets to her slingshots aimed at the boys..because the boys wouldn’t let the girls tag along. Hahahah…

The only remedy to stop the itching is to the the roots of the plant and rub on our skin..or something like that..;o)

Can you all figure out what’s in the photo??

A nearer and clearer picture of the skulls. The brown patches on the skulls are actually blood of the enemies. This happens because when the ‘hero’ brings back the head, it is put on a large slab of rock to dry. This goes on until only the skull remains and then it will be hang at the ceiling.
This is the slab of rock that i mentioned earlier. I didn’t take a further shot of this because the guide said that if we look closely, we can see an image of a person on the rock. They believe that the spirits of the dead are all in the rock. *I wouldn’t dare stay the night here..* See if you can ’see’ the image of a person…I couldn’t really see it at first but now it’s getting clearer to me.. *shivers…*

I think i should share the history of this race here. All the skulls in the room are brought back by this one headhunter(forgot his name..probably called Monsopiad. LoLzz..). All 42 of them. Our tour guide tells us that the skulls have been in this village for a very, very long time and they have been passed down to the descendants of the man to care and protect the skulls(they believe the spirits of the dead are still roaming in the room). In fact, the current 7th descendant of the skulls is a 79 year old man, which conveniently lived next door. Hahah…

Now, here’s the interesting part. As time passes and everything becomes more modernised, the children of the 79 year old uncle have all converted to Christians and thus, they don’t believe in the culture of passing down the skulls to the younger generations. Because of that, when the uncle passes away one day, all the 42 ‘heads’ will be buried together with him.

So i suggest that anyone who is interested to pay a visit to the village, better do it soon or else when u drop by in the future, the skulls that you see hanging at the ceiling are just fakes. That would’ve spoilt the whole feel and mystery of the ‘cooling’ room. Brr….~~

I’m finally back home..it actually feels good to come back, although i have this reluctance to leave our hotel rooms. Hahah..it is a really wonderful and beautiful hotel. We stayed at the Pacific Sutera Harbour which is really just next to the harbour. Splendid!

We left the LCCT Airport at about 1020am, and reached at bout 12pm. I must say, the airport at KK is so much nicer than LCCT. I don’t really understand why the walls look so old and dirty at LCCT..considering it is quite new. Sighh..i know la it’s a budget airline but at least paint the walls la. *head shaking*

I won’t be giving every single detail about the trip cuz not everything is fun. I remembered feeling quite tired from it all. The most fun thing bout the trip would be our island hopping on Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park. There are 5 islands altogether and the one we went to was Pulau Sapi. The waters were so clear, it was really amazing. I was so gungho on going snorkeling that i almost forgot that i can’t swim. Hahaha…Yes, yes i noe that we don’t necessary need to know how to swim in order to snorkel but since i don’t know how to swim, i’m also not used to putting my head in the water. Hahaha..

My colleague was nice enough to tell me he will teach me until i can balance myself and snorkel on my own. Mana tau, i was clinging to him like a leech, wouldn’t even let go of him for a minute. I couldn’t get used to being underwater and i found it hard to balance myself, let alone swim. Furthermore, we had to go really deep to be able to see the fishes. Well, i saw some but there were not the nice and colourful ones. I was basically laughing and ’snorkeling’ the whole way thru(knowing me, i laugh at the smallest thing..). I think it took me bout ermm..an hour to get to the deeper end of the sea, that also i wasn’t anywhere near my other colleagues. Aduii…

We saw another colleague nearby and we shouted to him to come over and help me cuz well, the guy i was with was really tired already. Hahahah…. He swam over and said, “Grace, now only you reach ah? I want to swim back already…” I felt so embarassed. Sheesh..=(

I gave up wanting to swim further in..i told them if no fishes then so be it. The fact that i managed to ’swim’ all the way here is a success ady. Hahah…

When we got back to the beach, everyone was laughing at me..because one, it took me bloody long to swim to the deeper end, summore not much fishes to be seen and my colleague basically ‘pulled’ me back to shore. (faster that way..hahaha)

But it turns out that at the other side of the beach, we could see fishes swimming gracefully near the beach. Kik sei..!

But honestly, i had lotsa fun..got myself tanned(which is not so fun). Don’t know how to swim but still had such big ambition to go snorkeling. Hehe..

The rest of the trip was spent going to souvenir places, makan makan and makan. Hahah..;o)

Oh, we also went to this headhunters cultural village, which apart from the bloody mosquitoes sucking our blood like crazy..it was quite fun. Oooh..we also got to see real skeletons. Brr…~~

Overall, i had loads of fun. It was a well needed trip cause i haven’t been travelling for ages. Hahah…
