My friend just said something mean about me..and when i deny it cause it’s obviously not true and called him a meanie(was it a ‘meanie’ or sumthin else?) instead. And what did he say?

Hahahha….so, turns out that he does read my blog..just doesn’t like leaving comments. *leave some la..i will surely appreciate it. Let others know that you’re real, tht i did not make you up. LoLzz…*

I’ll be leaving for KK tomorrow. Will be back on Monday..*yayy..! No work. hehe…* So, this will be like the longest holiday i’ve had for ages.. Surprisingly tho, i’m not so excited about the trip. I should be, cause it’s all expenses paid and yes, this will be my 1st time on a flight over the sea. =P *unlike some, i don’t get to travel alot..altho i’d loved to..*

Why am i not too excited bout it? Ermm..i guess my heart’s more to the events that i’ll be missing this weekend and also, it IS a company trip..wud’ve preferred it if i’m away with my close friends or family. *like, Duhh!~~* But no worries, i will have fun and if i get too bored..i’ll have my books, shades and the beautiful sceneries accompanying me. Heheh…;o)

Anyone want any souvenirs, leave a comment, gimme a text or a buzz on my mobile..tho i havta say..am not going there to shop..am going there to relax, scuba diving, makan fresh fresh seafood, take loads of pics… hahaha…=)

eLiGibLe BaCheLoR…anYoNe?? 25 April, 2007

I have been saying that i will “promote” my loving couz in my blog, although my cousin has repeatedly told me not to be “38” and “sot” and had warned me not to(too bad..my blog, my writings…=P). Hahahha….Actually, i’m doing you a favor okay, Ben Cheok? Also, this is not the 1st time i’m writing about you what..if you’ve noticed..i’ve written about you in my previous entries and they’ve all been good stuffs about you.. ;o)

It still amazes me why this cousin of mine is still single & very much available. He’s loved by my mum and all my other aunties and uncles, so no problem with any girl’s parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties, cats, dogs, etc… One good example is if i’m going out with him, it doesn’t matter where i go or what time i go..my mum will be okay with it. *wonder why i don’t make use of this opportunity to do nonsense? Hmm…* He’s also a very caring and understanding guy, which makes him any girl’s best mate(that might be a problem, sometimes..hehe). I can also bet that you won’t feel bored with him around. Our bickering has proved that he is a guy who has a whole lot of humour in him. ;o)

Physical appearance wise, i don’t see anything wrong with him. No defects anywhere. Hahah.. in fact, he’s tall(got 180cm ah?), quite fair, yau yeng(stylo-milo), leng chai(good lookin’). Talking about stylo-milo, he’s one heck of very ‘the in-style’ kind of guy..He mix and match his baju by following the fashon magazine for men, okaay..? So, look wise is not a problem at all…

Next up, for someone his age..he’s considered to be quite financially stable. So, no worries there, he’ll have the “lou poh pun“(savings for marriage) ready by the time he wants to get married. But of course, chicks that are materialistic…please don’t even come near him. He is not, i repeat, NOT an ATM machine. =P *don’t forget my birthday present,ya? B’day’s coming very soon.. Hahah..*

So, anyone who might be intrested in this real life eligible bachelor (CLEO Magazine all tak main, okay? This is the real stuff!), can always drop me a mail or a comment and i shall go through your applications. You can opt to contact him but then again, since he’s such a busy man, he probably wouldn’t have time to reply your mail. So, don’t say i didn’t warn ya!

Literature EveNts…~~ 24 April, 2007

The 3rd MPH Breakfast Club for LitBloggers on Saturday, April 28, 2007 will feature Kuala Lumpur-based journalist Dina Zaman, whose new book, I Am Muslim, a collection of essays, was published by Silverfish Books in March 2007; Farish A. Noor, the author of such Malaysian bookstore staples as The Other Malaysia and From Majapahit to Putrajaya; and Larry Parr, the writer of Tan Chin Nam: Never Say I Assume!, an autobiography of one of Malaysia’s leading captains of industry.

Dina Zaman will be introduced by Sharon Bakar. Farish A. Noor and Larry Parr will be introduced by Eric C. Forbes. And… my good friend, Kenny Mah will be moderating the session, so it will be up to him to deal with the usual questions on how-to-make-money-from-books.

If it helps, the answer’s still the same: Unless you’re J.K.Rowling or Stephen King, go do something else. Like a financial planner or hired assassin. Both pay better and are less stressful. They don’t have to keep fielding questions from people who attend literary gatherings just to ask questions about how-to-make-money-from-books, for example.

FeaR…~~ 23 April, 2007

Everyone is afraid of something..be it losing a family member, fear of the dark, of crowds, of failure..u name it. I’ve never met anyone so far that is not afraid of anything..although sometimes they can act tough in front of others(U can lie to others but not to urself..).

As for myself, i’m afraid of quite a number of things..*yes, u can call me a chicken, scaredy cat.. whatever! =P*

I’m afraid of clowns. In fact, when & if i do see a clown, i’ll walk very very far away and very fast. Who says clowns are cute & funny?? They are not. Period. Clowns are like puppets or freak dolls that have that sickly smile on their face all the time and why must they paint their face white? Aren’t there any other colours that they can paint their faces with? I’ve never liked clowns, even when i was a kid. When my dad asked me to “go get the balloons from Mr. Clown”, i refused. No matter what, i wouldn’t go get it. I would rather NOT have the balloon. I remember at times i would even wail out loud if my dad carrying me would walk slightly near to a clown. Having said that, i’m also afraid of puppets(the ventriloquist type) and dolls, especially the ones that can open and shut their eyes. Really, really creepy…!!

I’m afraid of ghost. Yes, i do believe in them..even at this age of the century. This is something that i have come across with, once or more in my life. I can’t brush off the believe that ghosts do exists in our world. Where else would all the dead souls go to? They can’t possibly all go to Heaven, no way! I believe there will be some that are stuck in our world..Hence, i don’t dare to watch horror movies either. This is because, all the scary thoughts will somehow creep into my mind when i’m lying in bed, unable to sleep. Urgh..no horror movies for me, Thank You.

I’m afraid of losing my parents. This is the worst of the worst. I’ve thought about it, what if.. because i know one day it will come. But the thought of it made me burst into tears, so i really don’t know how to cope with it when the day do come..Would i be selfish to say that i rather ‘leave’ 1st before my parents? =(

Of course, there are other small little stuffs that i’m afraid of…lizards, cockroaches, spiders, the sound of thunder, etc etc….Didn’t i say that i’m a scaredy cat? LoLzz…;o)

BatHiNg A BabY..~ 23 April, 2007

See, weekends spent at home are for me to do stuffs that i don’t normally do. I bathe a 5-month old baby last Sunday. *kindly say “Waahhh!!” & clap, please* Well, bathing a baby is not something new to me..We did welcome my brother into the family when i was 14 and my mum was babysitting the baby’s elder brother(he’s 3 yrs old now)..Actually, it was quite easy to bathe the little munchkin and she kept smiling and laughing throughout the process.

Now i think i rather bathe her than feed her, where she’ll cry and wail at the latter. Now that one’s a tough feat to do. Seriously..Hahah..;o)

ArT oF RaKinG…~~ 17 April, 2007

Last weekend was spent at home..weather was terribly hot and humid. Mum was trying to beautify her plant outside our house on Saturday. She was trying to trim them into nice, round shapes..Since i had nothing to do, i went out to look-see-look-see (gardening’s just not my thing. hahah…).

“Grace, go take the rake and bring all the leaves and branches next to the river..*we have a river like drain near our house*”

So much for look-see-look-see…

Mum told me to put everything in the basket, then bring it over..easier. But noooo…i wouldn’t accept that. I can rake, alright! *Actually, very lazy to go into our compound to take the basket la. LoLzz..* So, there i was raking the whole bunch of leaves and branches over to the drain. It wasn’t very far away but it was hard work because i was trying to make sure all(or most) of the pile was going where i wanted them to go and i was also praying that there was no oncoming vehicle while i was still in the middle of the road. Hahah…but when i stop and look back, i practically left a zig-zag trail of leaves, branches and what nots on the road. Boy, was i laughing at the mess i did..

I went back, made sure i clean the road the best i can and stood looking at how ‘clean’ the road is. Hahahah…Mum was nice enough to tell me, “Okay what..very clean already. Can la…“.

Whew!!

So now, anyone who wants to rake their gardens….you know who to hire,eh? heheh…;o)

P/S: Not to worry, it’s very safe on the road at my house..there’s hardly any vehicles around. ^_^

Of MaPs & LoCaTioNs..~~ 17 April, 2007

Was talking to my friend a few days ago and the mention of a certain Taman Tasik made me remember an incident that brought me to the place by mistake a few months back. Was out with a friend of mine, Theodore(hopefully he wouldn’t kill me for putting his name here. heheh..) and since we didn’t really know where to go..he had happily said.. “Alright, let’s go see The Eye on Malaysia..“. I was very happy to comply cuz i had initially plan to go with my bunch of friends.

“Where is this thing again?“

“Taman Tasik Titiwangsa“

“Alright…“

So, there we were on our way to see The Eye..

“We’re here…“

“Are you sure this is Taman Tasik Titiwangsa? I thought it’s like far from city centre one?“

“Sure la..it’s here..how many Taman Tasik is there in KL anyway..“

“Okayy..ur the local here..not me.” *me, already having doubts*

So, there we were…walking towards the park..it looked deserted and quiet..

“Wei..you sure it’s here ah? Can’t even see the thing..i’m sure we can see it from far one lor, since it’s so high up..“

“Yalar…proably it’s hidden sumwhere..let’s walk and see..“

About 5 minutes of walking later..we came upon a signboard that shows the map of the whole park..i was looking at the map trying to figure out where the heck is the ferris wheel when i saw this….

TAMAN TASIK PERDANA

I nearly pengsan, i tell you! I turned, gave him a stare and ask him to read the name on the signboard.

“Taman Tasik Titiwangsa kononnya..sheesh!“

Well, we didn’t leave immediately since we were already there..and we practically walk the whole of the park, which turns out to be not so bad afterall. The children’s playground was really nice, there was also a sort-of English garden in the middle of the park. The weather was really nice and cooling. I would’ve enjoyed it more if i was not wearing my heels. o_O

6 WeiRd ThiNgS AbOuT Me…~~ 16 April, 2007

I’ve been tagged by my friend, Shiao Yen(thanks babe!^_^) to write down 6 weird stuffs about myself. Hmm… i’ve been called weird before (YOU know who you are! =P) although i know very well that i’m not all that weird..Anyway, here goes…

1. I have a habit of biting straws. Be it while sipping my drink or when i’ve finished the drink. Friends who’ve eaten with me often enough(or not!) would realized that. Of course when i’m out with people i don’t really know, i try very, very hard not to bite the straw, which sometimes i fail in doing. lolzz..
2. Whenever i hear anyone sneeze, i’ll automatically say “Bless You!“…sometimes without me realizing it. Colleagues have told me they find that “cute”. *direct translation from the cantonese word, tak yi(the not-so-nice way of cute.hahah..)*
3. I don’t like it when the spine of my books have lines on them *caused by opening the book too wide while reading*. That’s why i’m very careful while reading paperback books.
4. I sometimes think i speak too soft and girlish for my liking on the phone,as opposed to talking to others in person. =P
5. I sleep with my small pillows on both sides of my bed, makes me feel ’safer’. =P
6. I sometimes talk or do things too fast/without thinking until i have to stop and ask myself “what was it that i wanted to ask/do?”

Whew!! There..i’m done! That’s pretty mind cracking. I’m not that weird, am i? Heheh… ;o)

i think i kind of settled my cough..went and bought cough drops from the clinic the other day. Have been taking it for the past two days and it certainly helped but now am having flu. apa lah! cough goes away, flu comes a visit…it’s probably the weather…(yeah..blame the weather! that’s wht most doctors do anyway..heheh..) or maybe my sinus is attacking again. anyone has any cure for sinuses??

So, what happens when you find out that a dear friend of yours had once(or more) cancel off his/her appointments & dates just to go out with you, without you knowing that they cancelled off everything… I think that would be one of the sweetest and nicest thing anyone can do. ^_^

I found out today that a friend did that for me…
