it feels terrible when u see a friend but are not able to talk to the friend…because of certain reasons..u feel tht its jst not appropriate to go talk to the friend. sighh….i feel so terrible. =(

on a happier note..

am not working tmr..taking leave, attending a one day seminar at holiday villa, subang.. should be loads of fun…;o)

i’m also feeling very happy for a friend…looks like her life’s gonna have sum changes soon.. if it goes as wht i expect it to be. heheh…so i’m crossing my fingers hard for her…;o)

went and watched movie with Felicia at Mid Valley yesterday…we wasnt sure wht movie to watch and Felicia said she’ll confirm after she finish work. so i waited at the office….when she called and ask if we can make it for blood diamond, i was very sure we wudn be able to make it cuz the movie starts at 6pm and at bout 530pm, i was still at the office. hahha…

nevertheless, both of us rushed to mid valley…it still makes me wonder how the heck did Felicia reached Mid Valley faster than me when i’m at asia jaya and she’s all the way at klcc. =P and wht did ya noe…she managed to buy tickets for Blood Diamond..and the best of all was that we managed to catch the movie before it starts..i think the time was bout 620pm. heheh…=D

both of us were darn glad we rushed for the movie..cuz it’s really really very good. personally, it was truly an eye opener..before watching the movie, i noe heck bout the civil war in sierra leone, bout the RUFs and their barbaric and brutal actions they did to the kids over there. i didnt noe it was so bad that they jst kill without mercy. i was taken aback by the stuffs they did..so, in another way…i can bluntly say that the movie is quite violent but i think it was the violence tht made the audience wake up and realized tht sumthin like this is really happening in the world we live in. there were a few teary scenes here and there, but was fitted in at the right moment…this is definitely a must watch…=)

the movie also made me realized further how blessed i am living in m’sia, where violence and cruelty such as the ones in sierra leone doesnt happen. the number of ppl who were killed and suffered because of the stone, also made me think twice of getting myself diamond jewelleries the next time i want to buy any..i learned there’s a thing such as conflict diamonds. we should never ever buy conflict diamonds…

guess wht happen to me the other day…

i lost my handphone…o_O

the moment i realized tht my phone was not with me…i panic. inside of me, i panic..

the 1st thing that came in mind was tht…i dun have any of my colleagues’ number. even if i do have, i cant remember ANY of them…i quickly scan my brain for frens’ numbers tht i can remember….i cud only remember exactly 4 numbers. pt, tim, sf and cy…..

i called cy…he was bz, said tht he’ll call my number for me later…

i din hav the patience to wait..so i called pt…no one answered..

i called tim…he also din answer..

called sf…no answer..

ARGGHHH!!!

called pt again..no answer..

again….pt….she picked up! FINALLY…

i told her i think i lost my phone..cud she call my phone and see if she can get thru..

turns out tht…..

i left my phone at the office. WHEW..~~

luckily din lost the phone…when i was in the train..it suddenly occured to me how stupid i was..
why took the hassle to crack my brain thinking of my frens’ number when i cud’ve jst called MY number myself…AIYORRR!!!~~

bodoh betul…o_O

the next day went to office and all my colleagues also said the same thing…why so stupid one.. call ur number urself la…aiyorr…!~~

Honk! Honk! 5 January, 2007

i’ve always been a book lover and an avid reader ever since i was a kid. i’ve grown up with books like Enid Bltyon when i was in kindergarden and primary skool..the sweet valley series throughout primary and secondary skool, not forgetting the horror books series..Christopher Pike, RL stine and much more. now as i’m growing up..i still love reading as much as i did last time…i’m not picky when it comes to books…i generally read everything…romance, thriller, biography, horror etc….but my all time favourite currently would have to be Wilbur Smith. i had the chance to read “Monsoon”, and it’s been one of the best book i’ve ever read..James Patterson is also one of my fav..Sophie Kinsella for light readings..and loads more but when it comes to local authors and writers..i shamefully admit tht i dun noe any. reading anything local does not even come across my mind..honestly, when i was young..i din even noe we had our own authors and writers which is really pretty good. *blushes*

reading The Star, especially the English section in Star 2 has introduced me to a local author by the name of Lydia Teh. her ‘Eh Poh Nim‘ articles has been funny and entertaining, at the same time has helped me gain more knowledge in the Queen’s language. stuffs that i’ve heard about but dun noe the proper name for it..and stuffs that i’m totally new at. i’ve also read about her book “Life’s Like That” in the papers..which until now i haven read. heheh…nevertheless, according to the comments given and having read her “Eh Poh Nim” articles, i noe her book mst be real good. this time around, she has come out with another book, “Honk! If You’re Malaysian”..which was recently launched at Crowne Plaza. the launch was a success…and it’s already on the shelves of our bookstores. am definitely gonna go get it…;o)

Lydia is currently having a contest on her blog for her new book. contestants need to write a review on Honk! or put a link about the contest on their blogs. apart from getting one of her books as prizes, she’s also giving the winners books that are on her shelf. am not gonna say more here cuz on her site, every info bout the contest is clearly stated there, so if anyone’s interested, jst point ur cursor to: Honk! Honk! Contest. even if the contest doesnt interest u, her blog’s definitely gonna make u stay put. =D

Thanks Lydia for introducing me to the other authors in the country. i’ve been paying more attention to our local authors ever since..;o)
